Founded in 2013, Vs-Portal and our domain-specific subsidiaries set out to do things differently.

Vs-Portal was founded by Bharti Fotedar, an engineer with experience running a niche GIS digitization business and managing core back-office operations. She ensures the stability, governance, and operational backbone of our firm. Vinod Fotedar, also an engineer with an extensive track record in leadership roles at several large multinational corporations, leads client engagement, manages complex assignments, and drives the strategic direction of our consulting practice.
Together, we combine technical depth, operational reliability, and a flexible delivery model that enables us to move fast, stay personal, and keep quality at the core of everything we do.
Vinod Fotedar
CofounderBachelor in Computer Science and Engineering has been driving transformation for over 25 years across Industries like Smart Cities, Utilities, Public Sector, Media, Banking & Financial services, Telecom, Health, Education, Manufacturing, Distributed Power Generation and Waste Management with organizations like Vs-Portal, Oracle, IBM, HCL, Dishnet DSL( Acquired by Tata Communications), defining and delivering value for clients. Vinod conceived, managed and negotiated 100 plus mission-critical projects. The technology pillars of these projects span across Core business and back office Applications, Business Process Management, Information Management, DWH & Business Intelligence, Enterprise Application Integration, Mobility, Networking, Security, Communication, Hardware, SCADA and Operational Systems. Vinod started new business initiatives/units and led the organizations to the market leadership position, leveraging strengths in building and managing high-performance teams, partner channels, ecosystem, complex deal structuring, business / IT alignment and complex X-LOB relationships.
Bharti Fotedar
FounderBachelor in Civil Engineering graduate with diploma in electronics and computers. Bharti’s professional journey began in 1999 with a GIS company, where I contributed to geospatial solutions, and extended into web development for small businesses. From 2005 to 2011, I took a long break primary supporting my family and a few not-for-profit social initiatives. In 2012, I founded Smart City Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting use of technology to enhance the quality of life in India. This passion for technology-driven transformation led to the co-founding of Vs-Portal in 2013, alongside my partner, to address larger opportunities in IT consulting and sustainability of cities and Utilities.
In my current role, I specialize in back-office operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality in every client deliverable. My responsibilities include:
– Responding to client communication and preparing detailed proposals.
– Evaluating submissions/ documents and performing quality checks before report submission.
– Managing ERPNext for internal operations.
– Coordinating with partners, including finance and legal firms for compliance and reporting.
– Supporting project teams with research, data validation, and process documentation. I bring a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to my work, combining technical insight with a commitment to excellence in execution.
